Ideal for children! They want to host it themselves because the anime theme is adorable. They can be washed with soap and water for disinfection. And they are reusable. And they hit patches. You know when a kid falls and you know it wasn't a bad fall and the kid is fine but they want a bandage even if there's no cut? Because we all know that getting a band-aid is like getting a sticker for kids. That ice pack saved me from buying 1000 packs of patches. When my nieces had a minor fall, they would come to me for patches (aka stickers). But now I'm saying, do you want an ice pack? Naturally! They themselves take it out of the freezer and put it on their chest. Rinse and toss back in the freezer! No tears, no money spent on band-aids. I also have different animals for each of my nieces so they always have their own ice pack.
