I have several readers and writers for thin external optical discs (CD, DVD, BD) and I have tried many solutions for their storage , including several neoprene pockets. It's the best I've ever had and now I have four of them. They're definitely not cheaply made, the padding is great, and I love the fact that they have zippers instead of the more usual Velcro or worse, just flaps. Your reader/writer will definitely be protected and I can assure you that if it's placed in this beautiful storage box (I know because it happened to me) it will easily survive any drop on the floor. In fact, the last one I ordered was missing a zip puller, but as usual with Revain, I had no trouble replacing it.
