The display is not stable.

I really wanted to like this scale and was dying to add it to my kitchen tool set, but even for the price it's not good enough. First, after placing an item on the tablet, the display is unstable and fluctuates wildly. Not just 0.1g up or down, but up to 0.8g (so far in my limited testing) which kind of defeats the purpose of the 0.1g resolution scale (yes, I know the margin of error is 0.3g, but that should be constant, not constantly changing, and the 0.8g range is outside of worst-case error). Second, following the seller's instructions to change the default off time (press ON/OFF and UNIT 4 times simultaneously) doesn't work. Starting with the scale off, the first press turns the scale on and everything, after that no change no matter how many times I press ON/OFF and UNIT at the same time. Third, the documentation says they can be contacted for any question, but they don't provide contact information. I returned my first scale due to these issues and received a replacement with the exact same issues and they keep coming back. Update: 12/16/2020 As it turned out, the supplied programming instructions were incorrect and therefore I was able to program the automatic switch-off time. The seller has since updated these instructions to change the auto shut off time (although I was unable to verify that it actually worked as I had returned the scale before the new instructions were posted). I would like to point out that there is a setting in the programming options to disable auto-off, which I consider a plus.

Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
