Intel Gigabit CT PCI-E NIC When I built two identical systems with this card in 2013 I never used this Cat5e card until 2021. I was lazy and used the dual wifi range of usb adapters and then the built in mobo 2.4 wifi, worked overtime, all started having intermittent connection issues or stopped working completely. I've always planned to connect desktops with a fixed cable and finally did so with Jadaol's Cat6 flat cable in early 2021 when the latest Wi-Fi was in its final stages. I have a 600Mbps plan. When using WiFi in my area I usually get an average of 50Mbps on 2.4GHz, 5GHz was 260Mbps when it worked. After I firmly connected the systems to this card, both systems now achieve an average of 700 Mbit/s. The cards work as they should from my current experience, no regrets. It was plug-n-play (currently running Windows 10).
