Overall I was very impressed with the quality of this product. Audio splitting and staging is a massive improvement over the switcher's internal audio, and its headset-dedicated optical input is useful for expanding the capabilities of this DAC for use with your home audio/video gear. A short USB cable is good; although I would like it to be modular as these types of cables on portable devices often fail over time. In short, the Creative G3 is a great device that does everything it advertises; and does it well. However, I have to recommend the FiiO BTR3. It works great with the Switch and has Bluetooth functionality for a range of other devices. However, there's one group who would like this in place of FiiO, and that's everyone who uses the G3 for voice communications. While FiiO has a built-in mic for cellphones, I can't say it works with Switch or PS4, which is what the G3 was designed for, and doesn't have another audio interface for your favorite headset. If you're looking for a DAC/ADC for your gaming device that lets you connect your favorite microphone and headset, get this. But if you don't need microphone support and want a bunch of other features for the same price, get the FiiO BTR3 .
