Worth the investment!

What a great price for a huge upgrade! After reading how much it would cost to add this camera at the dealer I decided to try my DIY skills and ordered this kit. Be sure to watch both videos and be aware of when the printed instructions tell you when to ignore further video instructions. Also note that the camera in the videos is not the camera you will receive, it is a different size and the hole you drill will be a different size. I watched the video several times and was able to install the camera without any problems. When drilling a hole in the cover strip of the Toyota badge where the camera will mount, I drilled it side to side and front to back in the center. I had to drill it about 1/4 inch from center to stem. If you drill everything straight down the center (front to back), the camera will stick out about 1/8 inch past the edge of the molding. It doesn't look bad or impede functionality, but I wish I had known about it before I started drilling. light hole. When doing this, be careful and use sharp bits and moderate pressure. The metal is very thin and bent a bit when my racquet broke. It is not noticeable as it is behind the cap with the emblem. Routing the cables was very easy and the only real problem was routing them under the dash. What I actually pulled was a cable under the radio console to the under dash area, attached the camera cable and pulled it back out. All cable connections are plug and play. As shown in some videos, there is no splicing or cutting of wires. Very easy. The camera works great! The view is clear day and night. Seeing everything behind you, right down to your bumper, makes you feel calmer.
