Review on 🔧 ELEGOO UNO R3 Board ATmega328P USB Cable (Arduino-Compatible) Arduino by Ryan Larson

Obviously this isn't an Arduino clone of an open source UNO board - and they don't claim it either. However, it seems to work very well and given the difference in price, it's worth buying. I recently bought a real Arduino that I permanently built into the project, so I needed another one to experiment with. A few differences between the two that I noticed. The real Arduino came with a plastic mounting base that insulates the bottom of the Arduino UNO from any metal box you might choose. Also, you need to find another way to isolate the board from the metal, e.g. B. Plastic spacers. Another odd difference was that the Elegoo comes with a short USB cable while the Arduino doesn't. It turns out that the short USB is needed for Elegoo and doesn't work with Arduino. Conversely, the Arduino requires a standard USB (printer) cable, but will not work with the short Elegoo cable. Anyway, that's been my experience and I've tried both methods multiple times. To be honest, I found the plastic mounting base to be a more useful accessory, assuming the Elegoo would work with a standard cable, which it didn't in my case.
