Attention to those who left feedback that this doesn't work: I thought the same thing when I first received mine, but after reading the instructions on the product page I learned that you FIRST should turn the timer clockwise after 55 minutes, THEN go back to the appropriate minute you chose and then the bell will actually sound when the timer is up! Obviously because it's mechanical and not battery powered, it has to be booted up to the 55 minute mark every time in order for it to have enough "power" to actually work. Now when I do this every time it works great and is really cute!
