I bought this because of the mute button as the Apple TV remote doesn't have one and I use it a lot when watching network TV. The buttons work more like a traditional remote control. There's no swipe bar like on the Apple remote, and I haven't figured out how to swipe or go back when watching a video. The designers clearly have better eyesight than me as the font and icons are tiny. I memorized the layout of the buttons so I didn't have to wear a reader to use the remote. The silicone sleeve is just the right size to fit over the handle of my Calphalon omelet pan.
