Ok I bought this product 6 months after buying the Delphi SkiFi3. I want to compare two models: 1. Samsung Helix: Easy to use buttons, instant bookmarks, nice color screen with cute graphics illustrating each XM station. Delphi SkiFi3: Buttons freeze and often unresponsive, solid color screen also freezes often.2. Helix: Built-in antennas and headphones included. I go for long walks and am welcomed wonderfully. With additional antennas for the headset, I could easily listen in the library or at the gym. SkiFi3: You must use external headset antennas to receive a signal. No internal antennas. A constant "Check Antennas" message prompting you to plug antennas into the receiver. I've run this thing in the open field where I've had patchy reception or no reception at all.3. Helix: The removable battery provides at least 3 hours of Live XM on a full charge. You can get a replacement battery for about $20. SkiFi3: The battery is not removable, it lasts about 40 minutes in Live XM (that's right, forty minutes). get forty more minutes. You can pay extra for an extended life battery that will give you seven hours of live XM - I did that and now I'll try to sell it somewhere. 4. Helix: Strong construction, very attractive. SkiFi3: flimsy junk. I went through two replacements before abandoning this model (see my review on this in the SkiFi3 section). In short, these two models should be listed in the "You get what you pay for" section of an encyclopedia. You pay significantly more for Helix than for SkiFi3. But if you don't want an in-car-only device, the Helix is the only choice (I can see that the SkiFi screen is easier to read than the Helix on the dash. But don't expect to be able to walk and listen). to.) Helix is the choice for portability. I'm just sorry I kept giving the SkiFi3 a try - it's a piece of junk, I wish XM would revoke Delphi's license to manufacture it. Delphi gives XM a bad name. Believe me, Samsung is what you need. Update: My favorite feature of Helix is the ability to record channels at night or anytime; the device must not be switched on. Every morning I check what songs I have and delete the ones I don't like. I've "captured" fifty songs in the last four days just by recording them in one night, it's wonderful. When using a home antenna, music is also recorded clearly like a bell. I don't know if Delphi offers a programming feature or not; doesn't matter since I didn't get a signal anywhere in the room anyway. I am convinced that the Delphi product is based on old technology - just compare and you will see that one of these looks like it belongs in a museum, not on a store shelf. Again - take Samsung Helix, you will not regret it. I'm just blown away by how awesome this little radio is.
