I needed a way to light my keyboard and computer work station without sacrificing valuable computer desk space in favor of a lamp with a large structural base. I found this one with a clip to attach to the back of the desk, with a large arm that can be pulled up and over my monitors. Installation right out of the box was very easy, it only took my son about five minutes to screw the base onto the table and adjust the lighting bracket to his liking. Touch controls are excellent and very responsive, although I wish there was a separate power button instead of a mixed-use button to control both power and brightness levels. I change the brightness level quite often and am trying to get used to long pressing the button to turn it off. The light projection is great and the length of the lamp is perfect for my keyboard and typing area. The color and brightness adjustments are top-notch, allowing me to get a cool glow when I'm primarily working on a computer screen, or make the light brighter and warmer when I'm typing at a desk. I tried out the out-of-the-box motion controls, but then decided to turn them off as I prefer a simple on/off button without worrying that head movement might turn off the lamp during a video call. Overall this is a great way to light up a desk without sacrificing space and is exactly what I needed!
