Great investment as I have a gifted knife block with a lot of dull knives. Results will vary until you become familiar with it. which won't last long. You'll actually "feel" it and also "hear" it when you have a good edge ready for a final pass or two on a grinder. I was able to quickly resharpen a few knives that had become severely blunt from use. The sharpeners I've bought and tried in the past never gave the desired result. They were also less expensive. So I decided to spend a little more for this knife, it's still a lot cheaper than some and I'm very happy with the edges I can now get on our kitchen knives. Overall the device is very nice and durable and I have sharp knives and scissors again. Good investment and great prices!
