# My Rating This rating is for the Hot Tools Professional 1875W Rainbow Ionic Hair Dryer. My wife has very curly hair and going to the hairdresser has been getting harder and harder lately, so we needed a homemade solution to get her hair done right! This is my wife's first time trying a Hot Tools hair dryer and at first glance it looks like a well designed, comfortable and easy to use product. We've tried similar products from other brands and after comparing them all we can say is that this is so much better than others, plus it looks great! Firstly, the hair dryer comes in a beautifully designed box with hot tool branding, pictures and product information are clearly printed on the front and sides. The Hot Tools brand looks professional and attractive. Packaging wise it looks good and looks like a quality product that would make a good gift! Overall I would say that the packaging has a good presence on the shelf. All accessories included; eg detachable diffuser, concentrator and instructions. The hair dryer is available in bright purple with a dazzling chrome finish. The handle of the hair dryer is of a good length, making it easy to hold and position during use. It feels solid and is just the right weight, making it easy to use. The 8ft cord has a unique tangle-free design and a loop for hanging from a hook. The handle features heat buttons (high, medium, low), speed buttons (high, low, off), and a cool button that adjusts the airflow to cold only. These buttons are a manual switch; However, it can be a little problematic if you hold on and accidentally press the buttons during use. The hair dryer is relatively light, powerful and not too loud. The heat settings are constant and a powerful amount of air is blown during styling. The diffuser and concentrator are easy to attach and serve their purpose perfectly. My wife has tried many different styles and has come to the conclusion that you need to know what temperature is best for your hair type, what type of hair you are starting with (wet, wet or dry) and how long you are spending styling want your hair. All in all this is a good professional hair dryer, comparable to those used in barbershops. It is easy to use, convenient and works very well.
