I tried startech's product after three competitor drive bays failed after about 3 years. Ports are failing etc. As I've only been using it for a month I can't comment on durability yet. It has 2 fans while others seem to have one. The drive baskets feel well constructed and hold the drive securely. There are no problems installing them. One downside is that the drives require screws. Very small screws are used and they all come in a small package that is not resealable. Unless you need to load 4 discs at once, you'll need something to hold them. The LED on the drive is bright and easy to see. The fans are fairly quiet for their size, but this adds noise to your system. It sticks out a little more than the competition, so if you've got a toned physique this might be an issue. There's still a gap in my short PSU case, but it's smaller than I'd like. It's mostly a cable routing issue as you don't want them getting stuck in the fans.
