These cases remind me a lot of silicone phone cases. They should be stretched around the license plate (a good thing so they fit snugly) - just be sure to put the side with the drain holes down. I got them because no matter how hard I tightened the plate on my SUV, it still rumbled. They have completely solved this problem (and look good), I wasn't expecting much for the price. The frames themselves are worth the price - the screws are not rustproof and a couple of the covers broke off during assembly.
