Cute but tight

My son loved these but was soon disappointed as they were too tight. He has narrow feet so I was surprised when he told me they hurt the sides of his feet. For this reason we are sending them back. We will come back and swap for a larger size to see if that helps but the length was perfect only the width was very narrow and I remember saying that with my son who has very narrow feet.
