Review on ๐Ÿถ Winter-Ready Doglay Dog Coat: Thicken Furry Collar, Reflective & Waterproof - Ideal for Cold Weather by Cynthia Cooper

Great quality, easy to put on and take off!

I tried many of these jackets before deciding on this one. I chose this one (although there weren't many reviews about it) because it seemed like it would be easier to put on (pull over the head) and the straps on the sides are attached with hidden buckles rather than Velcro (which will loosen over time and get stuck in his hair). Our friend is 13.5 years old and we moved from a consistently sunny climate to a rainier and colder climate earlier this year. Unaccustomed to cold and rain, he is sometimes reluctant to go outside even if he has to; no longer! The jacket looks solid, made of quality materials. The fleece is soft and warm, the back zip has protective stitching so it doesn't irritate your dog (we haven't used it but it looks like it's great for a harness), and the rolled-up collar can worn folded up or open to protect part of the head. Our guy got used to his jacket straight away. When it's time to go out I'll snag him off the hook and he knows how to stick his head out to get dressed. When it rains it comes in wet, and while the jacket looks pretty wet (not sure if it's fully waterproof?), our guy stays dry. And reflective strips; I didn't even remember they were there until we took him for a walk at night - they are definitely doing their job. Finally, our dog is an English Mutt Lab (I think he's stockier than regular Labs). It weighs about 80 pounds (compared to younger years), measures about 22 inches across the neck, 35 inches across the chest and about 25 inches across the back from base of neck to base of tail. he was fine but I didn't want the back straps to be too tight on him so we took the size 3XL and everything works great. and does not disturb his business. Very glad we found the right option on the first try!
