Very pretty! I softened some butter, smashed it into balls and put it in the fridge. Took them out about an hour before dinner and the oil was just the right consistency. Remove the dome, turn it over, take out the needed oil and put it back on the plate. Easy and way nicer than just a stick of butter! Also great for serving things like homemade herb butter or honey butter.
