I really wanted to love this mic. It has many advantages. VERY WELL BUILT. Simply a beautiful design. I like the shock absorber and the boom. Ideal for many applications. Not the highest class, but quite useful. Touch Mute is AMAZING because I hate the clicking sound of mechanical mute buttons. It has a very convenient gain control so you won't have a problem getting enough sound. The mic itself sounds GREAT, BUT this mic has TWO very major flaws. I hope Maono fixes those issues because this mic is ALMOST perfect. Pros: Perfect build Touch mute button Fantastic voice reproduction Type B USB connection which is stronger than mini or micro connections. Cons: Although the mic is rated for a 74dB signal-to-noise ratio, the preamp in this pup is NOT good. which means your recordings will contain a lot of noise. You CANNOT record with this thing unless you use a noise filter. I need two to erase it. If a customer complains, YUCK. The microphone is VERY loud. When you press the microphone, it beeps in two separate tones for about 1/3 of a second. This means if you speak or sing into the microphone and hit one of these notes, the microphone will ring. Now you might not notice it right away, but it's there. You need to ring it out with a parametric equalizer. Add a parametric equalizer with an analyzer and tap on the microphone. You will see which frequencies you need to cut, then it will sound better. In summary, this mic can sound great if you make some adjustments. but you need to rework something. The problem is that if you buy a good plug-in filter like RX Elements or Waves NS1 (which I clean it up with), you might end up spending more money on a better mic. But on the other hand, you should still have these plugins when working with VO. BUT I still love this mic and it's great for travel and raucous vocal demos as well as Zoom calls.
