this. Fast forward a year and a few months. I use it to record yoga videos and it mostly (if not completely) turns off when the transmitter is 2 feet or more from the receiver. it's new) and the receiver didn't even light up when connected to my iPhone. I tested the adapter to make sure it wasn't the problem and connected other USB devices with no issues. So my guess is that the receiver is simply defective or poorly designed. I emailed support using the contact details listed here and didn't get a response for almost a week so I emailed again and nothing. I just wanted to know if I'm missing something, if there's a way to fix this, or if I suspect it and need to replace the receiver. I'm assuming I'm outside the warranty window and that's ok. But I expected the support team to check my emails and they didn't. I ended up replacing it with a Rode wireless mic and lavalier add-on. Significantly more expensive, but after watching a yoga teacher compare different wireless mics on YouTube, it was clear that this is the way to go. But I still want to know what Samson has to say so I know whether to throw it away or sell it on eBay. Bow.
