That was my first experience with extensions. I bought 3 boxes of 20 inches. The pro installed 2 1/4 boxes and we shortened them to 18 inches. Pros: The color match was amazing. The tape holds insanely well and I've had no problems with them falling out, but I've tried only combing my hair when it's completely dry. I got a lot of compliments in the first 2 weeks. Cons: They dry MUCH faster than my natural hair. After winding it several times despite the heat protectant spray I had to cut off the roasted ends, I would never use them again. And when your hair is already half-thick, the duct tape is almost impossible to hide. I used boxes 2 and 1/4. So they were evenly spaced and added amazing thickness and length, but the top ones were always visible and pulled into a ponytail. Forget it. The tape sticks out. I think the stripes are too wide? Maybe it would be easier to cut them in half to place and hide them? My stylist and I have discussed this and will try again next time. Also pay attention. My normal hair is fine in texture but I have quite a bit of it and my hair is about 15 inches long. At 2.25" long and 18" they almost tripled my thickness. I felt like I had to take Tylenol for the first 2 days. That was hard! They got wet the first time.
