I bought this as the base for my Maleficent Halloween costume. It's a great, versatile piece, and very sturdy. I'm 5'2" and it's a bit long on me, but it works for the character, and if I wear heels it will almost be the right length. The ribbon is not part of the dress; it comes with it, but you have to wrap it on the dress yourself. I was able to wrap it the way it is in the picture, but it does slip out of place pretty easily.Overall, this is a great, affordable dress you can use with lots of different costumes.
