Install this assembly on a 1998 Chevy Silverado 5.7L engine. After installation, the engine ran poorly and was so lean it was throwing lean condition trouble codes. Check the fuel working pressure and find it is 50psi with the spec being GM r60-66. I disassembled the manifold and replaced the fuel pressure regulator module that was on the spider with the module on the spider that I had replaced. Reassembled the manifold and the fuel pressure was now 60psi and the lean mixture was gone. After driving about 10 km, the engine started to work very erratically, the Check Engine light came on. Checked trouble codes and found misfire on cylinder number 1 and found freeze frame indicating rich condition on bank 1. Wire and spark plug checked. Spark plug wet with fuel and smoking, indicating that too much fuel is being supplied to that cylinder. Disassembled the distributor again and replaced the number 1 injector. Put it back together and the engine runs fine but I've only driven it 15 miles so far. Unfortunately, I have no confidence that this spider will serve me well and reliably. This is the first and last time I will buy a GB Remanufacturing fuel injector.
