Pre-warm gloves for the best result

My hands and toes always get cold outside in the winter so heated gloves sounded like a great option. The overall quality of the glove is nice. Stitching is nice, the heat button is easy to press down and the adjustment strap and draw string work well. Inside the glove is soft and plush making them comfortable to wear. The battery is about 2” x 3” and fits in the top front of the glove by your wrist. For me, I can feel the battery at my wrist when moving my hand. It doesn’t impede my hand motion or rub however it is noticeable. Also the front strap to tighten the gloves lays right at the bottom of the battery, luckily for me they got snug and I did not need to tighten it more.Okay now to the best part, the heater. Long pressing on the heat button turns the gloves heater on. Any short press after that changes the temperature (high/med/low) along with the color of the button. By default once they are turned on the heat up and kick into the medium setting. The description says they will heat up to 131-140 degrees Fahrenheit in a minute however I did not find that accurate. After 5 minutes on high I took the internal temperature of the glove and it was around 117. For me it took about 20 minutes before it reached 138 and this was indoors. I also noticed that they don’t stay that warm when exposed to the cold. Wearing them outside in 34 degree weather for an hour the internal temperature was only able to stay in the 90’s and that was in the palm area. My fingers started to get cold and the gloves were unable to heat up to the stated temperature in the colder weather. I was disappointed however they were still warm in the palm area so sliding my fingers down and making a fist did warm my fingers up. I found pre-heating then 10 minutes before going outside really helps to keep them at a moderate temperature.Overall these are still a quality glove. I do wish there was more heat when outside in the cold however this was better then having hand warmer packets in my gloves.
