There is a second floor window that is a few inches off the floor and is one of my cat's favorite spots, but she cannot see outside unless she is sitting upright. This deck chair is the right height for her to lie down, bird watch and sunbathe. For added comfort, I placed a fluffy pillowcase on top of the pillow, along with her favorite blanket. She loves it! This lounge chair goes well with my home decor, it's modern/chic compared to traditional cat furniture and is exactly what I was looking for. The sun lounger was very easy to put together and the underside of the cushion has velcro straps that attach it to the base. It also came with rubber pads that could be placed under each foot to protect the floor and prevent slipping. I would have preferred a matte finish to lacquer. Overall a good solid bed.
