So I have a small kitchen. Limited counter space, you know? It's the bane of my kitchen existence, and so when I got the chance to replace my big knife block with something that would regain some counter space I jumped at it, but make no mistake: Saving space is a great thing for any kitchen. This is a simple wooden plank that happens to be very magnetic and has two hanging holes in the back. It comes with some screws, and alternately a strip of double-sided adhesive if you want to skip drilling and just stick it somewhere permanently. I opted for screws, and thanks to the EXTREMELY handy printed hole guide on the box (it's even perforated so you can easily pop it out) it was a breeze to get the holes lined up and get the knife strip mounted perfectly.Ten minutes after receiving it, all my favorite knives were hanging on the wall above my cooktop, and the block was packed away, giving me valuable space in my kitchen. As a bonus, the strip displays my nice blue knives as if they're a lovely piece of artwork, sprucing up the kitchen's overall appearance a bit.Quality is excellent, and the appearance of the strip is a nice modest wood grain. Stainless steel knives stick to it securely but can easily be pulled off for use. I even managed to get my kitchen scissors on it.I couldn't be more pleased with this. Five big happy stars!
