My yellow-collared macaw loves this toy. It's big enough for him to hang on, swing on, and of course chew on. This is his new favorite toy. But there is a significant downside if your bird likes to chew on plastic. You will notice that the main chain is attached to a round plastic spoke. Then attach 4 sections of the block to the same round plastic knitting needle. Well, my bird chewed through the piece of plastic and the whole thing collapsed. Luckily it was up when chewing so my feathered friend didn't get hurt. To fix it I took one of the tight hangers/fasteners (that come with all bird toys to hang on the cage). I used it in place of a broken plastic pin and gave the toy a safer second life. My birdie was so happy her favorite toy was back. For the maker, consider replacing the round plastic pin (the green plastic piece in the photo, mine is orange) with something metallic to connect the toy to the hanging chain. Then maybe just leave the plastic piece hanging to give the birds extra chewing pleasure (instead of critical structural support). A metal element instead of plastic increases safety (because this toy is heavier than most birds and the bird can injure itself if it falls on it). -use from an old toy) a metal fastener instead of a plastic knitting needle.
