Goods of poor quality

The product in life turned out to be much worse than in the pictures. I think most people with even limited skills could make a better product. A few criticisms to explain why: (1) The wooden base of the vase was wobbly and had trouble standing upright. At first I thought the bolts for the legs just needed to be tightened, but it turned out that some bolts were already stripped of threads so there was nothing to be done. The legs are also two thin pieces of metal. Using thicker pieces, felt or even additional wood for the legs would greatly help the look, feel and stability. Be that as it may, if a vase falters without water and flowers, it is practically useless. (2) The base wood was not sanded at all. I don't mind a more rustic/natural look, but I also don't want solid shards and that felt unfinished. It's practically crying out for some sanding and staining and maybe a finish that could use some water given it's a vase. Place a rose or at most several flowers if they have unusually thin stems. (4) The vase is held in place by a combination of friction (using two rubber grommets on the walls of the wood cutout in the neck area) and glue. To be fair, the vase seemed to stay in place quite well, but up close it doesn't look elegant either, especially the large bead of glue used to secure the bottom. Overall, this vase has serious design flaws and looks like a cheap/poorly executed version of an aesthetically pleasing design. Sad because with a few small fixes like some felt pieces for the legs, a bit of sanding and staining and more proportional vase holes this could have turned out to be a really good product.
