Removing pine sap which has turned white and hardened on a car is a difficult task. The best approach I have found is to scrape the hardened sap off with a razor blade and remove the remaining thin layer using a cotton ball soaked with 71% or 91% Isopropyl alcohol. The trick is to do this without damaging the paint. The plastic razor blade scraper tool makes this job easy. The plastic blade is hard enough and sharp enough to easily remove most of the sap . However, the blade is apparently soft enough to allow vigorous scraping without damaging the clear hardcoat used on most cars today. The proper tool always makes a job easier and this scraper is just the right tool for this job.
