My cat put the collar in his mouth to take it off. As some reviews have noted, she latched it to her jaw but managed to pull it out of her mouth (although it might not have been as tight on her neck as other cats). I found that she could no longer put the collar around her neck or mouth after I attached two tags to her. The collar is a little frayed from being bitten by her, but it's holding up pretty well. It comes off easily if I hold it a certain way, and it managed to detach from the collar with some effort. We've just started using the collar, but so far so good.
