This review is based on my opinion (as an adult) and a 6 year old's opinion who also tried out the set. While the box and the listing state for children 5+, I would suggest children somewhere around 8-12 would probably get the most use out of this particular set.In regards to the items:-The vests are comparable to nerf vests, even thicker in some spots! They are quite large on a 6 year old however. They also smell, oddly enough like fish(?) right out of the box, you'll DEFINITELY have to air them out before you put them on your kids. I'd take off half a star just for that but I can't seem to do that. So let's say I rounded up to 5.-The darts are of surprisingly high quality, considering they're off-brand. Similar looking (Elite shaped) off-brand darts fall apart, but these ones hold together, even through many firings.-The goggles are definitely made for adults, they fall right off a six-year old's head. This means mom and dad can protect their eyes when their kiddos turn on them!-The wrist bands are great for kids! Keeps their ammo close and ready to use.-Facemasks are GREAT (for all ages) and the designs are actually cool (though not necessarily emblematic of team red vs blue)-The dart magazines are awesome and compatible with nerf blasters -- at a fraction of the price (just remember that these hold 10 darts, unlike similar nerf mags that hold 12)
