Review on Kitfort toaster KT-2036, red by Boguslawa Perkowska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly as promised by the manufacturer, high quality.

The KT-2036-1 may look like a traditional toaster, but it also has a handy feature that lets you know how much time is left on the bread fryer. It was lightweight despite its seemingly basic design (a tin). The roasting mode switch has a double problem: it makes a satisfying click, but it's not always set correctly in relation to the markings on the case, and the timer doesn't always match up with the actual roasting time. Without this, heated toasts can only be removed with tongs from the pits of hell, so I opted for a model with the capacity to additionally lift the toasts. The display with the rest of the time won't hurt, but it's not absolutely necessary, and I don't see why you should have paid more for it. Yes, and in theory I think the price tag is too high, seeing as how I sold it on the market not for $3,290 as it is advertised, but with discounts for $2,711. It's feasible to wind a short wire from below, but it wouldn't hurt to have a notch on the cover to plug out the rest. It's odd that the equipment costs more due to features like a retractable crumb tray and solid rubberized legs, but these features should be standard in every kitchen. There is a strong odor of burnt wiring when you first switch it on, therefore it's best to "drive the toaster at idle" as instructed. The neighboring fan worked, and the odor was soon carried away by the breeze. Level 4 roasting isn't very strong, and level 5 roasting is already burning. Uneven toasting will occur regardless of the settings, however this impact will be more pronounced at the extremes. Due to a lack of thermal insulation, the case becomes dangerously hot to the touch. The defrost and heating settings are never used in my fridge. Overall, I was satisfied with the Kitfort firm; the toaster is decent and comes highly recommended, and I appreciate the free magnets.

Pros
  • It has a sleek design, works well for its intended purpose, has a timer display, and has holes large enough to accommodate even the largest loaves of bread.
Cons
  • Due to the lack of a heat barrier, the roasting is inconsistent and the cost is high.
