busted in the first 3 minutes

I tried to run my freezer off of this, which is supposed to be 1 kW. It didn't work. I then tried to use the jumper cables - but got the red and black confused. Instant spark and dead. No idiot protection. Which usually you want for a consumer level device. So I can't recommend it to anyone.

Pros

Working great. My 8 amp grinder loves it.

Cons

The inverter may produce an annoying humming sound when in use
