When I received it it looked like a plunger, similar to my trusty old plunger I have had for over 10 years. This one eventually fell apart on the sides and I replaced it with this one. Well, tonight was the night. After sitting idly by the toilet for a full 6 or 7 weeks, I finally needed his service. And he failed miserably. Every time you pushed down to "dive", it got stuck inside out and refused to return to its original position. I would have to keep trying to gently catch the fecal water-covered toilet paper holding the plunger on the toilet rim and try to get it back to its original position. When this happens, you end up getting spattered with the very stuff you're trying to submerge. Unkind. Always turned upside down after 5 minutes and countless splashes. I finally finished what should have been a 10 second job. I've never dived into the toilet to immediately feel the need to shower after a clog. I would definitely recommend spending a few bucks more and getting a better built piston. This goes in the trash.
