Update: So they sent me a replacement with no problems because I saw my original post below. It works and doesn't cause any problems. I don't know why this didn't work before, but I'm certainly happy to be working with someone to fix it and it seems to be working great. Definitely recommend! Original post below "He said it was waterproof and that sounds great. I swam with him and he doesn't work anymore. JK But seriously, I used it once for cooking and got pan splattered and it literally broke. Constantly saying my room temperature was 158F. So not only is it not waterproof, it is also a liar. It's in the trash where it belongs."
