I love this thing! I'm so glad my rotating hand grater broke as I had the chance to try it out. The suction power is amazing! It was quite difficult to turn the suction handle the first few times so my husband did it for me but it seems to be getting easier. The capacity is really good, just don't try to overfill too quickly. When used correctly, cut or grated food falls out and does not get stuck. I like the angle on the gutter. I grated 2 pounds of cheese, chopped up some jalapenos, even some onions even though it doesn't say onions! You can't get diced onions, but I love sliced ones. I might even try grating onions to see what happens. I also bought potatoes to play with her tomorrow. I am so pleased with this grater that I immediately ordered a second one as a gift. I have already put all the parts in the dishwasher except for the base. Everything worked out great, although there was still water in some places. Maybe I'll just have to insert them a little differently next time. But everything turned out to be clean and ready to go again. If you're looking for a good grater, give this one a try. I'm so happy I did!
