The device worked as advertised for 2 days and then the switched outlets stopped responding to the main outlet. I had a Yamaha AV receiver acting as the master, with all associated audio and video components occupying the switched outputs. It seems that the trigger point circuitry has moved to the point where it can no longer tell if the receiver is on or off. Reviews from 2007-2009 often mention the adjustment knob on the device, but this feature seems to have been "valuably designed". Mine didn't have that setting. All in all, this device is a great concept but very poor execution. This might work for you if your "master" device has very low standby power or no power at all. If not, I cannot recommend SmartStrip. Mine goes back to Revain.
