I have long enough hair to sit on, so finding the right brush is very important. This works fine. The tips aren't rounded like some brushes, making this a great brush for exfoliating the scalp, circulation to the roots of the hair, and removing dandruff. The brush is well made and should last a long time with proper use and care. Note. The handle is a little flat so this should be fine for most people, but it can hurt a little around the edges if you have arthritis in your hands. For now, the benefits of this beautiful brush outweigh the minor inconveniences of this part of the design.
