We always have things to tie into our truck so I ordered these for review hoping they would be useful. We experimented a bit and decided that it would be possible in combination with bungee cords and a rope. They are actually called "extenders" so that's how they would be used. They look solid and the supplied hardware also seems to be of high quality. We usually carry signs. Sometimes they are big but they can really get lifted in the wind so we need rope and twine to tie them. Otherwise, these are boxes with signs and boxes with installation material. The wind in Santa Ana can be fierce at some times of the year, so no matter how safe things look, tying is always critical. We had an accident a few years ago where items were unexpectedly thrown from a truck, so they will be part of our arsenal of solutions for securing all types of loads for our work.
