Review on TP-Link Archer C3150: The πŸ”Œ Ultimate Black Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Router by Michael Wiley

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good wireless performance and range, poor printer and customer support

Router is easy to set up, has good performance and range. However, connecting my Brother HL3170CDW printer to the USB port does not work. Note that this is a popular printer and it worked great with my old ASUS AC1900 wireless router. I checked their website for support but their list of compatible printers is over 2 years old. The USB installation instructions on the AC3150 V2 page are for older routers. I could not find any instructions for this router. I used the chat function on the TP Link site. I contacted a person who had problems with English and couldn't answer my questions directly. It seemed the answers came from the script. Even though the router has a good signal, how can you build an expensive router that isn't compatible with USB printers? How can you not update links on your company website and link to relevant documents and your tech support is really answering customer questions? I think Siri would give me better answers. I would be skeptical about how well it connects to the NAS. Mine is still connected to my old router. So if you don't need to hook up a printer for the whole house, this could be a good wireless router.

  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Poor repairability
