COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE: WINDOWS 10 – YES VLC – SOMETHING – You can't record with VLC, but you can ALWAYS hear through your speakers if you're using this device to watch a desktop TV, then the quality is ok BUT vlc does NOT support 1080p, you'll have to settle for a lower resolution. OBS - yes - from what I could find out it's not compatible with my setup for some reason, but from what I've heard it works fine with it, you'll need to make some adjustments to your system to hear through speakers and headphones ; in Windows 10: go to settings, click sound, go to input, click device properties, go to additional device properties, click hearing tab, then click this device's hearing box, click apply , then click OK , from what I could find out you can use it to listen and record sound in OBS studios. That's all Ben was able to find out about this device. I hope it helps.
