This rib protector didn't help me much. My problem is that the front edge of the seat is against my ribs. The tougher parts of this vest are vertical, making it easy to bend around the torso. This poses a problem as there are points where the seat can still press against your ribs and not distribute the load at all. I will buy another vest with rigid sections running horizontally along the ribs.
