10/10 I can finally watch movies on Blu-ray again. My black PS4 Slim was only used for about a year and a half before half of my discs became unreadable. I thought it would be a complicated process, but luckily I didn't have to remove the entire motherboard with the PS4 Slim. Simply loosen the 6-8 screws holding the lens. You need to unplug all the ribbon cables. It was delivered today and it took me about 30-40 minutes to swap it out and put it back together. Just be careful with the straps that go through the assembly that holds the actual lens. To be honest, it wasn't that difficult. You don't even have to remove the top, just the bottom. I'm just sitting on the couch enjoying my Blu-ray. If some or all of your discs are unreadable, I highly recommend buying these. Make sure your screws are separated and organized and you won't have a problem. Also, I now have some thermal paste to fix the motherboard in the future. Order this to fix your unreadable discs!
