Excellent plastic case, does not protect against falls. This case protects your system from scratches and dents, and the case pops out in the event of a big drop. I only play when I'm at home. The only thing that really worries me is the power button cutout. The button is just enough under the plastic to confuse you when powering up the system. One thing is for sure, if you have a favorite bezel on your 3Ds, use this case for both protection and display.
