Works great for me and is very noticeable
This review is for "0.91 inch white" - I've bought two kits and am using them to prototype an Arduino GPS speedometer project . I use it with the Adafruit_SSD1306 library and their font FreeMonoBold24pt7b for numbers, fills the screen and looks great. My soldering skills are poor and when I tried to desolder the connectors I put on a board to re-solder some wires I burned the trace but that's my fault. I have bought two more packs, I really like these displays so far. I will test it at the track this weekend and let you know.
