Grumbling at first. As it turned out, only one satellite was tuned to the US West Coast. USB media player slows down when playing MP3 from flash drive. As others have said, the remote control interface is a little clunky. I couldn't update the software over the internet because the way to the receiver is too long. The advantage is that updating with the thumb is easy. The upgrade improvements are so good that I would recommend having a flash drive and upgrading before doing anything else. It's not just a satellite receiver. It comes with a USB Wi-Fi dongle and has its own YouTube player. I haven't explored everything it can do, but I've tested some features like IPTV and they work fine. The software is a bit crude, but it looks like they're aiming to be a combination of a satellite receiver and a smart TV box like the Fire Stick or Roku.
