I have three 5 gallon tanks. My first purchase was a single 3.1 ounce Nanotank. At 3.1 oz, I still used more product than necessary. Took me a minute but 6.5 ounces cost the same as 3.1 ounces. So now I take 6.5 ounces, cut the bag open, measure the loose Chemi Pure Elite into thirds and put them in mesh bags. At my rough estimate, just over 2 ounces of Chemi Pure Elite will still do for each of my five gallons. I really love this product. My tanks are cleaner than ever, the algae problem I had is gone, and now that I've found a way to get the right amount for a 5 gallon tank, the price is very, very reasonable. Basically it's $10.00 every 3 months. If you are wondering if the product works as advertised. I have to be very careful with anything I put in my tanks or filters as I have freshwater shrimp which are very sensitive to a lot of things. No problem with shrimp and Chemi Pure Elite. The tanks are as clean as ever and the shrimp are as healthy as horses.
