Review on Oculus Rift S VR System, 2560x1440, 80Hz, Black by Aneta Misztal ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

Take into consideration the fact that this is my FIRST virtual reality headset. In general, I am happy with the product that I purchased. The game could be played very immediately after opening the box. I put the helmet on, and they told me to set it up on the screen)) After that, they told me to adjust the settings on the glasses; everything is so easy that anyone can do it (even the video is shown, although in English, but intuitively clear from the picture). The description of the actions is presented in 2022. Oculus' own virtual reality (VR) playground, SteamVR, is supported. I have not yet tried any others, so it is possible that there is some sneaky way that it is possible despite the fact that there was no need. When worn, the face, particularly the area around the eyes, as well as everything else that is concealed by the helmet, will sweat. You may make it a little easier by pushing it to the maximum and slightly relaxing the fastening on the head, but even doing so won't help you when it comes to playing outdoor games. Conveniently, there is a foam pad that can be removed and washed or even replaced. I didn't count this toward the dignity rating because I'm not sure how many other people take advantage of this feature; however, it's possible that everyone does.

Pros
  • Quick and simple hookup. (Software, plug in cords, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup in sequential order) Everything you need to get started right away is included, including batteries for the controllers as well as speakers that are integrated right in (like headphones, but how can the sound be heard by others). Regarding me personally: a connecting cable measuring 5 meters (I read some have cables of 4 or even 3 meters, which is quite small for me).
Cons
  • Tracking controllers only in the area visible through the helmet's field of vision (on the helmet cameras that track the sensors on the controllers). If you want to pick holes in it: 1. the pixelization of the picture is discernible, but only to a limited degree; when you're actually playing the game, you won't even notice it. 2. Because headphones function similarly to small speakers, the sound can be heard by everyone in the vicinity, which can be disruptive in the evening if someone is trying to sleep.
