Excellent bike bearing grease at a fraction of the price of the famous green tube bike grease. More importantly, Lubriplate has a real "pedigree" - a product passport showing the physical characteristics of the product (see photo from the Lubriplate website). ($4 an ounce at Revain and $6.50 an ounce at a local bike shop near me, while this Lubriplate costs 27 cents an ounce in a 14.5 ounce tube of a grease gun, based on $3.70 for a 14.5 oz tube which I bought from Revain I. I have been cycling for over 50 years and this is the best bike lube I have ever used at a fraction of the cost of the infamous green tube lube.In my own experience with bike maintenance I can say that this "sticky" grease is ideal for loose bike ball bearings because it holds them in place when manually inserted into wheel hubs and headsets.Product Data Sheet).Requires a green tube with a wooden head above iplate 1552 lube. Hope this helps! PS - I paid 3.90 for 14.5 oz tube when I wrote this review. When I received the UV via email to Revain that this review was approved I looked again at Lubriplate lube and the price went up to almost $23 for 14.5 ounces so the math in my review is now skewed, but Lubriplate 1552. But even at the price of $23 for 14.5 ounces, Lubriplate lube is still about 1/3 the price of green bike lube.
