It was built fairly well but the unit did not fit properly and had to be modified with additional holes drilled to allow proper forward/reverse lever movement enable. Update: This seller confirms the reviews. I was able to install the new switch ordered here, but the new installation involved considerable effort. So I offered a 3 star rating, not 5. I then received a very kind email from the seller apologizing for the trouble and offering to compensate me for the time it took to reinstall the switch on the car was required. I replied with some details about what the problem was. Few sellers do this, and it's nice to have someone who acknowledges the difficulties and offers to help. They fulfilled their obligations and I received compensation. For this reason I'm changing my rating to 5 stars - knowing that the difficulties for those ordering early 2000's EZGO car models will likely have a better experience now when they investigate the issue. My final note: the switch is well made; It was the mounting plate and position that made the F/R lever work properly. JM
